About the Milford Music Festival
First established in 2002 as the Milford Jazz Festival and reestablished in 2013 with the resources of the disbanded Milford Business Council, the Milford Music Festival is a 501(c)(3)non-profit organization aimed at connecting the commercial interests of our historic town with the community by hosting and producing a calendar of cultural events. MMF's events are designed to encourage the work of new and emerging local talent, elevate Milford's status as a cultural destination and enhance the quality of life in Pike County through the exposure to the arts and to give back to the community wherever possible by supporting other non-profit organizations in the community. In addition to the annual Music Festival in June, we also produce Sidewalk Shopping Sales on holiday weekends, our annual fundraiser, Share the Harvest to benefit the Ecumenical Food Pantry in September and the Festival of Light Holiday Tree Lighting Celebration in December in collaboration with the Milford Lions. In 2014 we also sponsored a fall music festival, Septemberfest, in mid-September. The organization is 100% funded by grants, sponsorships, and in kind service. The Milford Music Festival a 501 (c) (3) tax exempt organization and is primarily a coordinating committee working with individual Milford business owners who actually sponsor music presentations at their individual venues.
